One of the reasons people love living in, and visiting, Los Angeles, is the year round sunshine. Meteorological issues mean that, every June, southern California is engulfed by a layer of cloud, that moves in at midnight and stays until afternoon the next day. Sometimes, if La Nina is misbehaving, the mist, cloud and fog can last the entire day. The average number of cloudy days in L.A. in June, is 21, which isn't good for the majority of Angelenos, who like to keep their tans topped up, and their mood shiny and fresh. A whole month with barely any sunshine is catastrophic! The June Gloom means that summer doesn't really start here until July, so if you're planning a visit, bear this in mind when booking your trip or your naughty one to Los Angeles.
